Riverside Study Center

Adjoining the campus of Columbia University and utilized by a Catholic outreach center, this landmarked 1905 Beaux Arts / French Empire style stone mansion underwent extensive restoration at the 5th floor and the main and lower roof levels. The mansard and dormer roofs were re-waterproofed and the slate shingles were removed and replaced. Much of the labor required a considerable amount of ornamental copper restoration, most of which was severely deteriorated, spanning across the entire top floor and included the reforming of the entire gutter system. Brick replacement, repointing, and limestone repair were necessary to complete the restoration work at this site.
